Art direction | non-profit rebrand, 2022 Philly awards gold winner

Team
Daniela Rosario, Devin Goetz, Melanie Sidle, and Naylah Hinton

As Art Director on this brand refresh for WeCode KC, i worked with a creative team to reimagine the organization’s visual identity to better reflect its mission: empowering youth through tech education. We honored the original branding by evolving the logo for a more modern, scalable presence while expanding the program’s visual language with a fun creative story to help kids on their coding journey. This comprehensive redesign spanned digital and print collateral and ultimately earned us a Gold at the 2022 Philly Awards.

WE CODE KC is an initiative that serves the urban core of Kansas City, exposing youth to various programming languages, technology, cyber security, and computer science concepts. Learning the basic concept of coding develops creativity, problem solving skills, builds confidence and helps to build a positive future. Every child, no matter their zip code or their family’s financial status, should have the opportunity to learn to code.
